Apparently British mums will soon have the legal right to breastfeed their babies in public. According to the article Breastfeeding Legal right, British MP’s are trying to do all they can to make women feel comfortable breastfeeding in public as Britain has the lowest breastfeeding rate in Europe.
Did you know that as the law stands in Britain, mums who “breastfeed in bars and restaurants could, legally, be charged under public order or indecency legislation?”
Quite unbelievable really isn’t it? Sounds like a step in the right direction for British mums.
